Cookies and browser storage

This site only uses technical cookies, and only if you use the basket of the online shop (deliveries to Spain and Portugal; the rest of the EU by quotation). It does not use analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, and that is why it does not ask you for consent for them. Browsing the catalogue, reading the technical data sheets or using the automated assistant does not install any cookies.

What is stored in your browser

Each key is created by an action of yours: using the basket or filling in the checkout form of the online shop, choosing light or dark mode, preparing a technical enquiry, talking to the assistant or moving around the catalogue. The two cookies travel to the server with every request, because it is the server that reads them to show you your basket and your details. What is stored in localStorage and sessionStorage stays on your device: the site does not read it from the server or share it, except for the assistant identifier, which travels with every message you write to it.

• fen_carrito — first-party cookie (httpOnly), online shop. Remembers which references and quantities you have put in the basket, and the promotional code if you enter one. It carries no personal data and no prices. Lasts seven days, or until you empty the basket or place the order.
• fen_datos — first-party cookie (httpOnly), online shop. Keeps the details you enter in the checkout form as you move from one step to the next. Lasts one hour, or until the order is created.
• fenorganic.tema — localStorage. Remembers the light or dark mode you choose with the theme switcher. Lasts until you choose “system” again or clear the site data.
• fenorganic.consulta-tecnica.v1 — sessionStorage. Keeps the draft of your technical enquiry: the products you add and your questions. Lasts until you close the tab. It is not sent to any server.
• fenorganic.asistente.v1 — sessionStorage. Keeps the conversation with the automated assistant and a session identifier, so that it is not lost when you change page or reload. The identifier is sent to the assistant service with every message; it is not a cookie. Lasts until you close the tab, or until you press “Delete from this browser”.
• fenorganic.retorno-listado.v1 — sessionStorage. Remembers which product listing you opened a technical data sheet from — its position and the filters or search text you had entered — so as to take you back to the same point when you return. Lasts until you close the tab. It is not sent to any server.
• fenorganic.ruta-anterior.v1 — sessionStorage. Remembers the previous page you visited within the site, to know whether you are returning to a listing from a technical data sheet. Lasts until you close the tab. It is not sent to any server.

If you are a person authorised to administer the site and you log in to its panel, a session cookie, fen_admin_sesion, is also installed; it lasts twelve hours and only identifies your session in that panel. Visitors do not receive it.
